With her compost tea, Granny Annie lets you get back to the basics and grow it old school. Now you may get your hands just a pinch dirty, but then again, isn’t that the fun part?

What is Granny Annie compost tea exactly?
It’s our craft compost. We take organics (straw from mint, dill, hemp, flax, wheat, and chicken manure) from growers local to our area and blend it into a recipe. The mixture is then composted on our farm with a large in-vessel turner, helping ensure proper temperature, moisture and aeration is occurring. That’s the technical side – really, all you need to know is that when it’s composting – it has that rich earthy smell! The finished product is a fine granular compost with small fragments of plant material. The compost then cures in our field, is tested to ensure safety and suitability for your use, and finally packaged (dry) for your plants to enjoy!
7 simple steps for use
Fill tea bag with the compost blend provided.
Place into a watering can (not with hot water).
Small bag = 2 Litres of water
Large bag = 8 litres of water
Let steep for 1 to 12 hours (at room temperature).
Water to your plant’s requirements.
Remove the tea bag from the watering can and let dry.
Empty tea bag contents (into garden/pots/compost bin).
Repeat Granny Annie’s tea time as needed for watering.
